Music is canceled

As we are monitoring the evolving COVID-19 situation, the CDC has changed their recommendation from gatherings of 250 people to keeping social gatherings at 50 or less people.  Acting out of abundance of care and caution for our guests & staff amid this outbreak, we have decided to cancel our St. Patrick’s Day live music.  We will, however, still be offering our FANTASTIC special St. Patrick’s Day menu as our restaurant and hotel will remain open.  The Irish whiskeys and beers will still be flowing! We have plenty of spacious seating, including our heated covered patio to maintain your social distancing.

Again, BANDS are CANCELED for St. Patrick’s Day

RESTAURANT & HOTEL REMAIN OPEN-FABULOUS IRISH SPECIALS

If you are not comfortable going out, we are offering everything on our St. Patrick’s Day menu to go. Just give us a call and we will have it ready for you. 651-439-6000

Irish Whiskey & Cigar Dinner: A Kick-Off to St. Patrick’s Day

                 Thursday, March 12th 2020

Charlie’s Restaurant at Historic Water Street Inn

6 P.M.  SOCIAL HOUR:

Butler Passed Hors D’oeuvres

Mini Potato Pancakes with Lingonberry Jam

Mini Pressed Reuben Bites

Beef Carpaccio on Toast Points with Onion & Balsamic

Jameson Caskmates IPA

Floral, herbal hops, & grapefruit citrus notes with subtle orchard fruits are complemented by wood shavings and a little nuttiness. A delicate spicy tone comes through and the lingering fresh fruit & hops give way to grains of barley & a signature smooth finish.

7 P.M.  START WITH:

APPETIZER

                                                                    Prosciutto Wrapped Rabbit

with Onion Boxty, Onion Jam & Micro Greens

Jameson Caskmates Stout

An initial aroma of freshly cut hay is complemented by a crisp orchard fruit character – green apples and pears, with a twist of lime zest. Mild pot still spices appear, deepening from green tea to hazelnut and milk chocolate. The initial sweet mouth coating typical of the Irish pot still inclusion is quickly complemented by the subtle touch of hops and cocoa beans from the beer cask finish.

SALAD

                                                                            Asparagus Salad

Israeli Cous Cous, Asaparagus Spears, Fresh Herbs, Parmesan Cheese & a Balsamic Glace

Jameson Black Barrel

Time spent maturing in these barrels leads to intensified aromas of butterscotch, fudge and creamy toffee. Nutty notes are in abundance alongside the smooth sweetness of spice and vanilla with a toasted wood finish.

ENTREE

Braised Bison Short Rib

With Colcannon Potatoes, Honey Love Carrots & Pan Jus

Jameson Coopers Croze

A subtle flower petal-perfume develops into rich ripe fruits, while some charred oak and cedar wood bring balance and complexity – a seamless infusion of American and Spanish oak character. The initial impression is from the sweet vanilla of the American ex-bourbon barrels. This brings added depth to the rich fruits typical of the ex-oloroso sherry butts. A pleasant touch of hazelnut and toasted wood complement the pot still spices. With a pleasantly long finish, vanilla sweetness slowly fades to barley grains with a touch of oak char.

DESSERT

Chocolate Whiskey Cake

With Stout Caramel Sauce & Hand-Whipped Cream

Jameson Cold Brew

Intense, rich coffee bean aromatics combined with the vanilla nuttiness of Jameson give way to a distinctive, bold & natural flavor with a refreshing cold brew impact. Following a charred wood contribution from the pot still whiskey on the palate, this innovative Irish Whiskey finishes full-bodied & smooth.

$74.95 per person (plus tax & Gratuity) ~ includes 2 Hand-Rolled Cigars

Reservations Required

“Northern Irish, singer songwriter, Leslie Rich will be appearing with his band Rocket Soul Choir for a unique performance at Charlie’s Pub, Stillwater on September 9th & 10th. It will be an acoustic, stripped back performance from their usual guitar led rock. Expect some great guest musicians and treats from Leslie’s extensive catalogue. From his rock band, back in Belfast in the 90’s, his time with A Little Of The Ready and Hounds Of Finn here in the US to his upcoming EP on Loud Folk Records, you can be guaranteed an enjoyable musical journey.”

February 7th & 8th  – Tom Dahill

Tom Dahill and Ginny Johnson are superb entertainers with a fantastic repertoire of old Irish songs and dance tunes that you won’t hear from anyone else.
